UGANDA WOMEN BIRDERS

The Uganda Women Birders Club was established in 2013 with the primary goal of bolstering female participation in Nature Guiding, a field traditionally dominated by men. The concept was initiated by Mr. Herbert Byaruhanga, aiming to integrate women into the predominantly male-dominated tourism sector. Drawing upon his expertise in guide training and sector services, he orchestrated excursions targeting young women interested in nature walks or enrolled in tourism and conservation-related programs
